Privacy Policy

We collect account details, learning progress, practice answers, recordings, AI feedback, payment records and support enquiries. We use this information to operate the Service, deliver courses, assess practice, process payments and provide support.

Speaking audio is stored privately and processed using Microsoft Azure AI Speech to assess pronunciation and generate a transcript. Transcripts, assessment information and Writing submissions may be processed through AI services to provide practice feedback. Your submissions may themselves contain personal information, so please avoid stating sensitive details in your recordings or writing. AI feedback is practice guidance only and is not an official IELTS assessment.

We use Base44 for hosting, storage and authentication; Microsoft Azure for speech processing; Stripe for payments; and Google for optional sign-in. AI feedback also uses an AI service accessed through Base44. Access to student information is restricted according to role. Card numbers are processed by Stripe and are not stored by our application. Some of these providers may process or store data outside Japan.

We retain information as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. Our proposed retention schedule for learning records and Speaking recordings is the active access period plus 90 days, subject to manual procedures and exceptions. You can request account closure, access, correction or deletion by email. Removing uploaded audio files requires a separate request to the platform provider, which we handle on your behalf. Deletion is not automatic, and some financial records, backups or other legally required information may remain for longer.

Authentication information is stored in your browser when you sign in. We currently do not use advertising pixels or third-party analytics tracking. If our tracking practices change, we will update this policy and provide an appropriate consent mechanism where required.
