Accuracy before complexity

正確さを複雑さより優先する

In IELTS, grammatical range and grammatical accuracy are assessed separately. A wide range of structures used inaccurately will not score well. A narrower range used accurately and appropriately will.

IELTSでは文法の幅と正確さは別々に評価されます。幅広い構造を不正確に使っても高得点にはなりません。狭い範囲でも正確に適切に使えば高得点になります。

The principle: master a structure accurately before adding it to your repertoire. A simple, correct sentence is always better than a complex, incorrect one.

原則:構造を正確に習得してから使うようにしてください。シンプルで正しい文は、複雑で間違った文より常に優れています。

Range means using different structures when they are appropriate — not forcing complex grammar into every sentence.

幅とは、適切なときに異なる構造を使うことであり — すべての文に複雑な文法を無理に使うことではありません。
